We handle payments through Shopify Payments for standard orders (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Paypal).

You will receive an email notification with your order shipping details. Please double check the information displayed in this email and contact us as soon as possible if you notice any errors. We will not be able to modify your order once it has shipped.
Your confirmation email can be used as a receipt.
We ship orders on Tuesdays and Thursdays each week. A shipping confirmation email will be sent once your package has been prepared.
Single issues are shipped as regular mail with Canada Post and don’t have a tracking number. Please click here to view delivery times.
Orders of two or more issues will have a tracking number with Canada Post and should be delivered within five business days.
Delivery times provided by a third party are not guaranteed. Please allow 4 weeks before the arrival of your package. If, after 4 weeks, you still have not received anything, don’t hesitate to contact us by email. We’d be happy to rectify the situation.

Yes! Like all our deliveries, we ship through Canada Post.
Given the current conditions and the high demand for delivery services, the times for international shipments are unfortunately longer.
Please double check your address in your order confirmation email and let us know if there are any mistakes.
If you want to track your package, choose the option for this. If you don’t, Canada Post will provide a tracking number only for orders of two or more copies that are shipped within Canada. You will receive this tracking number in the confirmation email once your package has been shipped.
Only if your order has not yet been processed. Check your address in the purchase confirmation email. Contact us immediately if you find any mistakes, and be sure to include your order number. If the address was entered incorrectly and your order is already on its way, we unfortunately are unable to offer you a refund or re-ship it.
If you are a subscriber, it is your responsibility to notify us of any address change at least 1 month before the next issue’s publication date. Delivery charges apply for any issue that must be rerouted.
If the mistake in the address is on your part, unfortunately there is nothing we can do.
If the shipment was returned to us, we could send it to a new address. However, you’ll be responsible for the shipping charges. Thank you for understanding.
Despite our best efforts, sometimes events beyond our control may delay the arrival of your order. Canada Post tells us that they are experiencing exceptional delays in delivery, caused by an increased volume of orders and the health measures they have put in place. If this is the case, and your order has not arrived within 4 weeks, please contact us by email at email@example.com with your request and don’t forget to include your order number. If it is an international order, delivery could take up to 8 weeks.
Exchanges and refunds
We offer exchanges on damaged products or incorrect shipments only. Orders can be refunded if they have not yet been processed and shipped. Please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with your request and order confirmation number.
Please don’t hesitate to write to us, and include photos of the damaged or incorrect product as well as the order number. We would be pleased to remedy the situation quickly for you.
The annual subscription includes two issues and is renewable automatically each year before the publication of the following issue. You will receive a reminder by email a few days before the renewal is processed. The subscription fee is withdrawn once a year, in October or May depending on your subscription date.
A link to your subscriber’s account will be provided in your confirmation email, and will allow you to manage your payment and contact information.
The subscription also gives you 25% off past issues and BESIDE Journals.
To cancel your subscription, access your account by following the link provided in your confirmation email. In the subscriptions tab, click on “cancel.” The issues included in your last payment will be sent and the annual renewal will be deactivated.

Billing occurs in May or October every year depending on your account. Renewal dates are synched with these billing cycles. A reminder is always sent by email a few days before the payment is processed.

There is no digital version of the magazine at the moment, however a selection of articles published in the print edition are also available at beside.media.
We publish two issues per year, in spring and fall.

We are always looking for new submissions! Send your image to email@example.com and make sure to include the following information: Your instagram handle, the backstory of your photo and a 1:1 or 4:5 image file no smaller than 1080 px x 1080 px. Kindly note that a submission does not guarantee a feature.
