An evening with the Expedition AKOR team
February 20th, 2019
Some stories need to be told by those who lived them to be truly understood. Last June, 6 paddlers embarqued on a 65-day canoe trip that made them discover one of the wildest and most isolated regions in Canada. In the ice and the rushing rivers, they paddled from Schefferville to Ungava Bay, and then set sail to the grandiose Torngat Mountains, crown jewels of the Great Labrador North. Their journey ended on the cost of the Atlantic, where they traveled over 600 km in a hostile land full of polar bears.
From the BESIDE office, they will have a thousand stories to tell about this incredible adventure, which many consider one of the greatest canoe expeditions to ever take place on Quebec’s territory.
